G-client (stands for generic client) is a win32-based utility that can be used to connect to up to 5 TCP/IP servers, send text commands to and read/display replies from the server. It can also send the content of a text file to the servers or save the servers' reply to a file. To use this program, you must have a TPC/IP network running and, naturally, some servers to connect to.

Installation instructions

  1. Unzip the file (download from here) to a directory of your choice.
  2. Copy Borland's libraries (borlndmm.dll and cc3250mt.dll, can be dowlonaded from here) to a directory which is in the system's PATH variable (e.g., c:\windows\system32). If you don't have privilages to do that, copy them to the same directory as the Gclient.exe file.

How to use it

  1. Start the program by double-clicking on the Gclient.exe file.
  2. Click on Help in the menu to read instructions and learn about syntax.
